Classic Beauty

Beauty is an opinion.  Feeling Beautiful is a necessity. The way we feel about ourselves, determines the quality of the life we live.  How you feel about the way you look is first, but the look that you portray to others, also has an impact on your life. This is something that younger girls have a hard time understanding.  Those of us with more life experience can relate.

When I turned forty, the perfect balance of my style and society's style was a little hard to find. I no longer had the advantage of the of youth to justify wearing whatever I wanted.
The good thing is there are still a lot of clothing picks that are still tastefully shared with every age group  I'm fact my daughter, who is 23, has given me a lot of the best fashion hints that work at any age.

The best is jeans from the Buckle. My daughter introduced me to their jeans. When she wanted me buy her jeans from there, I told her the price was to high. She told me they were worth the money. I had to try for myself. I can honestly say that I will never consider buying jeans anywhere else. They are definitely worth the extra cost. They are my clothing splurge.

The other must have, thanks again to my daughter, is camies from Body Central. They are long and stretchy and a must have for layering under t-shirts.  They hold in body flaws plus they just look better then wearing a t-shirt alone.

The most important clothing rule as you get older is to remember that your body is different then it was when you were twenty. Even if you are just as skinny, if you are over forty, short shorts, tube tops, or crop tops should never be worn. Period. Stick to capries with layered tank tops or t-shirts. They are a young look but still classy.

Hair is often overlooked as we age. A lot of people get locked into the same style and products for years. But just like clothing styles, what worked 10 years ago, is probably not working for you now. Keep up with new styles. A new cut can make you look younger and refreshed. Because hair changes with age, the products you use also need to changes.  The one thing you need to stay away from its the crazy new colors. Burgundy looks cute on teenagers, it just looks ridiculous after that.

Makeup can make you or break you after forty. A lot of woman believe that using more makeup hides wrinkles and age imperfection. NOT TRUE!  The truth that less is more, and that is even more important as we age. Keep lips and eyes neutral colors. Use black eyeliner and Mascara to bring out your eyes. A light blush on the apple of your cheeks. Keep it to a minimum especially if you have imperfections on your face. Bright colors, and heavy makeup just bring attention to the flaws you are wanting to hide.

A good skin care regiment is the most important gift you can do for yourself. Spend the extra money for high quality products.  Never use a tanning bed. And always use sunscreen. I highly recommend
Guthy Renker Australia

Remember, after forty, trying to look 20 won't make you look beautiful or sexy. It will only make you foolish. Try to become a beautiful forty-something, because that is possible.

The New Miracle Diet PiII - Garcinia Cambogia

I'm sure you have read about the new miracle weight loss pill,  Garcinia Cambodia.   I was definitely curious,  I have gained 40 pounds since my Hysterectomy, so I decided to check it out. I didn't buy it on line.   I went to a health food store and asked about it. Apparently it is a combo of that pill plus a detox that is working so well. They sold a combination of the two in a one pill formula. It was cheaper then the ads I saw on the Internet.

I'm not endorsing any company and in no way making any profit off of this review. I'm curious and I'm putting my experience out there, whatever it may be.

I just stated taking the pill this week, but I wanted to let you know how it is going so far. The major thing I am impressed with is the appetite control. I have to say it is by far the best out of any appetite suppressors I have taken.  I am only able to eat small portions before I am full. This is a huge plus for the first week.

I haven't weighed yet but my clothes do feel looser. We will see next week. I will give it a few more weeks and let you know how it is going. It sure will be nice if there is a real miracle weight loss pill. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

What They Don't Tell You- Life After a Hysterectomy

Before I had my Hysterectomy, Everyone said how great I would feel afterward. "It was the Best thing I ever did" was the most commonly heard phrase.  I think people just want you to join the Secret Hysterectomy Sisterhood.

Well I have now found out the secrets.  My new sisters suck!

Everyone know about the hot flashes.  For me, they were not as bad as I expected.  I did however decide to take hormones.  I might change my opinion when I decide to stop take them.

The worst surprise, weight gain.  A lot of weight gain.  Four months later there was not a piece of clothing in my closet that came close to fitting anymore.

Next is my hair.  Before the surgery, my hair was straight.  Now, it is curly.  Not a pretty curly, a frizzy, course mess.  My new style is a frizzy ponytail.  Very attractive!

And finally the worst.  I went in to surgery feeling young still.  I came out an old women.   Seriously, I feel like  I have aged 30 years.  I have aches and pains all over.  I am constantly tired.  I am ready for bed before the sun goes down.

I am now a fat, old, frizzy ponytail wearing, member of Secret Hysterectomy Sisterhood.   Yeah!

"Join us, it will be fun",  they said.

I hate them
