How To Make Money Blogging

If you like to blog, why not make some money doing it?  Its pretty simple and it is the best way to get your feet wet if you are interested in making money online. 

First you need to decide a couple of things:

  • Do you like to write
  • Do you have the time for blogging.  You need a couple of hours a few days a week for your blog
If you answered yes, then let's get started.  If you don't already have a blog, you will need to get one.  I like Blogger. But you can also use WordPress.  These are the two I recommend.  If you are new to blogging, I would use blogger.

Next, start blogging.  write at least 10 blog entries before you monetize your blog.  Your content is needs to be useful to get people to subscribe to your blog.

Now to monetize.  If you use blogger, you cant set up AdSense  from there.  They will walk you through it.  I have never used WordPress but I'm sure they have a help section that can show you how.  I use AdSense and Clickbank for my blogs.  Clickbank is easy to use as well. 

This is all I use to monetize my blogs.  You don't want to put too many ads on your blogs.  Use in post links.  They look better on a blog and people click on these links more then the banner ads.

If you keep fresh, useful content on your blog people will subscribe, but first you have to get them to your blog.  The best way I have found to bring in people is Social Media.  Use Facebook, Twitter, Tumbler, etc.  Get your blog name and address out there. 

This is how you need to start if you are new to blogging for money.  So, here is a quick rundown.

  1. Get a blogging account.  Blogger or WordPress
  2. Monetize with AdSense and Clickbank
  3. Keep writing fresh content
  4. Advertise your blog on social media
That is how you start.  Pretty simple.  Do this for at least a year.  You will be getting your name and content out there.  Once you have a fan base,  Then you can move on to other avenues to make more money.
