- Clear the clutter. Keep your bedroom clean and inviting. A messy bedroom can affect your sleep. Wash your bed linens often.
- Painting your bedroom in a color that induces sleep and calmness. Light blue, light green, light lavender, white, or cool neutrals.
- Scents that have a calming effect should be used. Good calming scents are; lavender, jasmine, lilac, chamomile, sandalwood, and rose.
- Turn down the temperature. You want it to be slightly cooler in your bedroom, than other areas of your house.
- Mattresses and pillows need to be comfortable. Try some out. Don't go for cheap when it comes to these. The same goes for your sheets and comforter.
- Don't put a TV in your bedroom. Or at least turn it off when you get into bed. Don't keep exercise equipment out the as well.
